2024 (Round 73)

27 athletes and officials recieved scholarships as part of the round 73 funding allocations.

Recipients representing 12 sports have achieved great results at state, national and international level.

2024 (Round 72)

18 Ballarat athletes received scholarships as part of the round 72 funding allocations.

Recipients representing 9 sports have achieved great results at state, national and international level.

2023

19 Ballarat athletes received scholarships as part of the round 71 funding allocations.

Athletes representing 9 sports have achieved great results at state, national and international level and are continuing to aim high, as they train and compete in their chosen sport.

Presentations were conducted at a number of locations during March/April 2023 with the assistance of a number of Ballarat Sports Foundation supporters.

Scholarship presentation by Ballarat Sports Foundation ‘Gold Sponsor’ Small Dog Design, owner and director Brandon Aranyosi to BMX World Ranked Number 4 Josh Jolly.

Josh is continuing his international quest with awesome results recently in the USA, winning a number of titles including the Super-X Final at Oldsmar, Florida, 2 Super -X Finals at Rockhill, South Carolina and 3 wins in the 17 to 20-year group finals at Redman, Oregon.

Scholarship presentation by Ballarat Sports Foundation ‘Silver Sponsor’ Bartlett Blinds, CEO Dave O’Brien to World Athletic Racewalking Team Championship silver medallist Alanna Peart.

Alanna has had a fantastic lead up to 2023 moving into the senior ranks internationally, competing at the World Team Championships (Muscat, Oman) and the World U20 Championships (Cali, Colombia) with outstanding performances on the world stage.

Scholarship presentation by Ballarat Sports Foundation ‘Gold Sponsor’ Ballarat Sportsmen’s Club President, Bruce Tweedale to National and State Swimming medallist Edward Meddings.

Edward recently achieved great performances with Gold at the Victorian Country & Victorian Open Championships 16yr 100m Breaststroke and Silver 50m Breaststroke. He also won Silver at the Australian Age Championships 16yr 50m Breaststroke and qualified for the Open Australian Swimming Trials for the World Championships in the 50m & 100m Breaststroke. Edward was recently awarded the Ballarat Sportsmen's Club 2023 Mick O'Neill Encouragement Award.
